Status Update November 2023
So since it’s getting towards the end of November, I figured I’d write up a blog post detailing everything what’s been going on medically for me. Been posting snippets about it on Baraag and Twitter, but I figure bringing it all together into one, easily accessible format might be nice.
The MRI showed nothing neurological to explain the insane headaches and the seizures. Did see a cyst in the sinuses, so gonna get a referral to get that checked out, but right now we’re trying to gather data with cardiology. Three visits to them this month, got three more scheduled next month. One this month was them implanting a heart monitor, other two were checkups. Next month it’s two ultrasounds to check for clots and another checkup.
And just for a little frame of reference I ended up in the ER three times this month. I think the hospitals are getting a little tired of me here. But considering I keep getting extreme headaches, bad falls, seizures, and keep passing out while shopping, what can you do?
All the medical issues aside, I have come up with a way I can use the tablet to do some drawing. I actually got the idea from a Lagtrain video. Love Lagtrain, such a great song, and the remix rabbit hole for it is bottomless. At any rate, in short I set the background of the canvas to a pale grey to help cut back out the intensity of the light the monitor puts out. That coupled with activating the Nightlight feature in Windows and turning down the back-light on my tablet as low as it’ll go, and wearing my trusty brown tint clip-on sunglasses means I am less likely to get hit with severe headaches and nausea using the tablet. So with all that figured out I’ve slowly started to work back into drawing, working around the times I’m feeling sick. In terms of creating, here is what is on my shortlist right now. I want to draw some smut of Kokona Sunohara from Blue Archive. She’s just one of those characters I look at and she just triggers something in me. I also want to try drawing a series of Safe-For-Work slice-of-life Azur Lane comics based on an idea I came up with a while back. The third thing I’d like to work on is I’d like to try writing a safe-for-work Gochiusa episodic slice-of-life fanfic series based on an idea I came up with ages ago, and draw some accompanying illustrations for it. I would post it on this site, and maybe others like pixiv and AO3 with a delay. Plans may change as time goes on, but that’s my current goals.
So yeah, that’s just the general update of things. Oh and yeah, one more important thing before I forget. I brought my first doll home! Her name is Claire Crimson, and though she’s a bit of a brat, she is so adorable. I plan on sharing some of her antics both on here and on my Twitter and Baraag, plus any other socials I might join that allow it just because. Feel free to stop by and see if that interests you.
